Dr. Robert Lima

Owner/Optometrist O.D.

Born and raised in Ottawa, Dr. Lima studied at the University of Ottawa before obtaining his Doctorate of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. During his studies, Dr. Lima had the opportunity to intern at different medical complexes, such as the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. He also participated in a VOSH mission trip to Honduras, to provide eye care for communities with limited access.

After finishing his studies, Dr. Lima returned to the Ottawa area and has focused on the highest level of eye care, including primary care Optometry, disease management, and Vision Therapy to correct depth perception inaccuracies, eye turns, and double vision.

Other than his passion for Optometry, Dr. Lima enjoys the outdoors and engaging in an active, healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Nicole Maione

Optometrist O.D.

Dr. Nicole Maione is a dedicated optometrist who grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2015 and then moved to Waterloo to complete her Optometry degree. As part of the graduating class of 2019 at the University of Waterloo's School of Optometry and Vision Science where she received the Dr. Howard A. Backman Award and GP Contact Lens Clinical Excellence Award.

Holding a strong background in both academic and clinical settings, Dr. Maione has contributed to the field through her work at the University of Waterloo Human Visual Neuroscience Laboratory and has been published in the scientific journal Brain Stimulation. She is an active member of both the Canadian Association of Optometrists and the Ontario Association of Optometrists.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Maione is passionate about global eye care and has volunteered with VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) and GRID (Ghana Rural Integrated Development) to provide essential optometric services to communities in Ecuador and Ghana. Her time spent in Houston, Texas working alongside ophthalmologists has further enriched her expertise in managing ocular diseases, with a special focus in cataract and laser refractive surgery, uveitis, pediatrics and glaucoma management.

Outside of work, Dr. Maione enjoys outdoor adventures, playing sports, yoga, dancing, travelling and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Maione is excited to join Dr. Lima along with the rest of the EyeTech Team to provide eye care to the Richmond community and surrounding areas. She has a strong interest in providing impactful primary eye care, managing dry eye disease and binocular vision.
